Performance
Five Acres High School has been on an incredible improvement journey since joining the Greenshaw Learning Trust. Results show year-on-year improvement again this year, and the most recent validated data places us in the Well Above Average category of the DfE's ratings. We sit well within the top 5% of schools in the country and have been in this position since 2019.
We continue to perform as well as, if not better than, the Gloucestershire County Grammar Schools, and our students achieve on average half a grade higher per subject than the next best school in the Forest of Dean.
Details of the data published by the DfE can be found here. Type in the name of the school you wish to view and click the Secondary section to access the latest information.
The latest validated results should be presented like this:
In 2025 the average grade for our students across all subjects was a grade 5, with performance above the national average in core subjects such as Maths, English and Science, along with equally excellent outcomes in Sciences, MFL (the average grade in French was 7), and Humanities, amongst others.
With excellent qualifications complemented by their outstanding character education achievements, our students go on to pursue a wide range of post-16 options. These include Level 2 and 3 courses and qualifications at no fewer than 18 different providers, mainly within the Forest, Gloucester, Hereford and Monmouth districts.
