Top 5% of schools nationally
It is a sheer honour to be Headteacher of Five Acres High School, a school with incredible standards and a warm heart. The school has been on a transformational journey of improvement, and our excellent GCSE results this year place us in the top 5% of schools nationally. Our simple aim at Five Acres High School is that our students will have a better chance of success than if they went anywhere else. We want them to be both academically successful and also grow into wonderful young people.
We are a proud member of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, a ‘family’ of like-minded schools, that work closely together and the best practice so that our children make amazing progress.
As the number of students attending Five Acres High School grows, please can we remind parent/carers to drop off and pick up their students from the school's rear car park, accessed via Park Road. The front car park and adjacent roads need to remain free of additional parent traffic to allow access for school transport and service buses.
We will be supporting the Cobalt Unit's "Big Sort" again this year where donated cards are upcycled into new ones to raise vital funds to support local people with cancer, dementia and other conditions. Students can support the cause by bringing in Christmas cards to their tutor (we will be running an inter house competition for the most cards collected by a house) and our community is welcome to drop off cards to our reception team. Please can we ask that all cards are with us no later than Wednesday 8th January to allow us to deliver them to Linton House, Cheltenham.
