Five Acres High School

GCSE Results

Five Acres High School has exceeded expectations yet again and has achieved outstanding GCSE results. Headteacher Simon Phelps says, “I am absolutely delighted with these well-deserved GCSE results. The hard work from students and staff, along with the support from their families has made these achievements possible. I am very proud that we continue to achieve increased outcomes in all areas and sustain the success we have had over a number of years. I have loved working with this particular cohort and I wish them the very best of luck for their futures”.

Five Acres High School has a vision that ‘all children who attend the school have a better chance of personal and academic success’ and these results show what can be achieved when students work with ambition, confidence, creativity, determination and respect.

With the Government confirming that results across the nation will return to the lower pre-pandemic levels (2019) it is especially pleasing that this year we have the highest percentage of students ever being able to access Level 3 qualifications and brilliant apprenticeships in their next destination. In a year when our range of subjects has broadened, the skills and habits developed by students has led to a 75% increase in the very top grades compared to 2019.

Five Acres High School is proud of all students’ achievements, but a special mention must go to those students who have achieved the best progress and achievement scores in the school. Notably Connor, Emily, Ebony, Imogen and Will who all achieved Level 9s and Distinction *s in several subjects. Whilst the following students have made exceptional progress as well as achieving some outstanding grades; Caitlin, Lily, Jacob, Lauren, Florence and Isabelle.
