It is an honour to be Headteacher of Five Acres High School, a school with high standards and a warm heart. The school been on a dramatic journey of improvement, and our excellent GCSE results mean that our students move on to very ambitious next steps. Our aim is students at Five Acres High School will have a better chance of success than if they went anywhere else. We want them to be academically successful and also grow into wonderful young people.
We are a proud member of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, a ‘family’ of like-minded schools, that work closely together to provide mutual support and share excellent practice so that our children make excellent progress.
The Five Acres High School Prom was a huge success this year with students arriving in all forms of transport. The Prom was held at the Speech House Hotel and, as always, was overwhelmingly supported by parents, grandparents and other members of our close community. A huge thank you to Mrs Brace, as always, for taking such great photos. You all look fantastic!
It's finally here! Our fabulous production of Annie opens tonight and after an intense week of rehearsals, the cast are eager and ready to go. You'd be silly to miss it! Tickets are still available either at reception or on the door. Doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 7:00pm.

Students are asked to wear their PE kit into school on both days (Five Acres PE kit, no other sports kit). The weather according to the Met Office at the moment is due to be cloudy and cooler on both days, however we still recommend to bring sun cream and plenty to drink.
